Someone once said: "Yoga is the practice of observing clearly, listening acutely, and skillfully responding to the moment with all the compassion we can muster".

For me, this means that in our yoga practice we take the time to bring attention and mindfulness to our body, our breath and also our mind and thoughts, in order to  take this knowledge into our everyday life, to benefit ourselves, and all living beings.

I have been practicing Yoga for over 20 years and for a long time it was a great desire to deepen my practice and attend a teacher training. Finally, when our family lived in Australia for a few years, I got the opportunity to complete a teacher training. Immediately after the training I started to teach Yoga classes, first in Australia and now here in Basel.

In my classes we are focusing on finding a natural ease within the postures and on cultivating and deepening the awareness of the relationship between the body, the breath and the mind. For me it is important to ensure that the breath can be steady and even and that we avoid straining and injury whilst in the pose. Because of our uniqueness, we will not all look exactly the same in the poses, rather our journey will be to work within the pose in the most beneficial way that we can, so that each individual can find the best alignment for their body.
